Just gonna drop this here. What is Lens doing that HIVE & Leofinance aren't light years ahead of?
The Gelato - KoraDao space today was all over the place. Couldn't even log into Lenster.xyz. The NFT mint for Kora DAO had stringent requirements of 700 followers and minimum of 30 posts.
Is this the wei to encourage adoption?
I do like how the Lens handle is an NFT. You connect with tour web3 wallet, but Leo has had this for some time.
Wouldn't you consider that HIVE is one enormous DAO with many sub-DAO's?
Food for thought on this humpday afternoon.
I'm actually working on a big longform piece that compares Lens to Hive.
My initial research can provide one answer to your question. Lens has been built with fast dev-onboarding at their core. It's much, much easier for devs to hop into Lens and have ready-made UX/UI modules ready to go, tons of educational materials, support, etc. Hive def has things like this, but since we're more dencentralized, it's not optimized nor well organized.
In general, I see Lens as a more Top-Down approach to DeSo, whereas Hive is necessarily much more Bottom-Up. I also think both systems can live in harmony and likely find value in seeking interoperability :)
I definitely had the impression early on that Lens is a dev focused protocol. It would be nice to see better organization for the devs building here on HIVE. Something that seems ongoing in the couple years I've been away.
It would be super nice to have more tools and learning resources for non-devs to get involved. Perhaps AI can assisit with this?
Looking forward to your research piece and thanks for the explanation. Cheers!
