I have been thinking lately there is a need for an app that loved ones can activate upon a person’s death. Once activated it will sell and divest the deceased person’s account and transfer the proceeds off-chain and into a wallet or exchange account.
The app should be secure and activated with a simple password. It should also detail what step it is in during the process.
The app should be able to access the games, nfts, hive wallet (hbd), and all tokens on HE, Tribaldex, LeoDex, etc.
After accessing the various assets the app should unstake any assets that must be unstaked. It should also know what marketplaces to sell the nfts or game assets. Unfortunately, some assets may take a long time to unstake. For example the 13 week process for HP. So this might necessitate having several movements of assets since some may be sold quicker.
The final step would be to convert the assets to something that can be moved off-chain. Eventually to a wallet or exchange and then to a bank if that is desired.
NOTES
I’m not sure if it is possible to build such an app. Everything listed is a process of steps so it theoretically could be done.
The security should be a priority since the app would wait on the phone or pc until it has to be used. And it have to include all the keys when first set up.
I don’t know if it would be usable to track each stage if the process. Not to mention the possibility of a glitch where the app might hang up and how easy it would be for folks to restart it.
Anyway, it is all food for thought. Any comments or questions you know where to put them. If there is already something like this available here on the blockchain then let me know.
