RE: I was a banker. And I walked away.

Great intro post! Question is... are you going to reveal the reason for your early banking retirement?

In short, “Do not be like everyone else”. Differentiate!

I love the idea of story telling, especially when the story is interesting. Interesting stories make for interesting people. This introduction post certainly differentiates yourself from the typical "here are my hobbies" posts.

Another question, what are your thoughts on precious metal investment, gold silver platinum and such? Any insight on the sudden and strange NICKEL price explosion?

I had a contract that allowed me to "retire" after a minimum of 12 years employment. Lasted 15. Then became an entrepreneur trying to right the wrongs of the financial services industry. Am still trying to get there! Luckily crypto came along and we may just manage to upset the applecart! Decentralisation is key to that. And Hive is at the forefront of it all.

Am a firm believer in the safety of precious metals in times of trouble. Having said that, they should always be part of your investment allocation. Preferably in physical form. But "paper" investments are better than nothing!
The nickel spike came out of nowhere. A good catch on your part!
Interestingly, the spike was not reflected in the prices on the Shanghai exchange. Although the culprit appears to have been a Chinese company covering/hedging its short position. For now the price seems to have settled at around USD30k/T. A significant increase which we will undoubtedly notice in the prices we consumers pay in short order!
