RE: The death of email?

in LeoFinance3 years ago

I had always thought maybe emails are going away too. But look around, if you want to open a social media account, you will always be required to put in a mail or phone number.

And even though one might have to choose one or the other, they will soon find out, that they need the emails more whenever a situation arises that needs to be fixed.

Communicating to and fro with a certain company whose services you are using is made easier by mailing them. And if they have good customer service, getting a response quicker than you could imagine, makes a lot of sense.

This means it could take a while before emails become obsolete. Until then, let those selling with email marketing enjoy, have fun, and make as many bucks as they can. Cheers.

Great point! It is crazy the number of people who use their phone number for things these days though. That is part of the reason I created a Google Voice number, so I can keep things separate.

You sound as though it's a bad move... Is it?

That is part of the reason I created a Google Voice number, so I can keep things separate.

What does a Google Voice number do?

Google Voice routes my calls and gives me a voicemail only number that I can use when I am required to provide a number. It's not bad, it's just different. Email accounts have pretty robust spam protection. Phone numbers still do not.

Oh. Thanks for explaining

Do we have to pay for the Google voice number?

As long it is for personal use no. It is only available in some areas though, so you might run into restrictions depending on where you live.
