I heard Elon doesn't like Remote work much because if factory workers have to go to the factory, it doesn't make sense for just a portion of the work force to not go to the factory. But I completely disagree with him on this...
I think most manual labor will be automated in the next decade, even factory jobs will be done remotely by people using bots or automatically by AI.
The only jobs left will be the creative ones, and those can be done remotely or through VR with the team.
