Today I had to run away and hide because of non-stopping blasts and sirens in the capital of Ukraine. Because Russian bombs, planes, tanks, and militaries are trying to attack my city from different sides. Because the Russian army is dropping rockets on RESIDENTIAL AREAS. At this very moment.

Kyiv. The city I’ve been born at. The city I love so much. Investing my strengths and potential into its development is my greatest privilege ‘cuz I believe in its greatest future. Actually, it was my privilege… Until 24.02.2022.

Yesterday was harsh but today is much harder. This morning I was hiding in our neighbors’ basement and then fled to our grandparents’ house in the Kyiv region. Farther from war. Although my decision was to stay, my parents didn’t listen to any of my decisions. They were afraid for my life. There wasn’t a place for conversation, they begged and forced me to leave the city.

It breaks my heart having to stay away from Kyiv and I’m looking for the nearest opportunity to come back.

❕All photos and videos attached below were taken in Kyiv today. It’s unbelievable to see something like this in the 21st century. My people are dying. My people are hiding in subways and basements. My people are getting guns from the government to protect their families.

❗️Heavy fighting continues in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Donetsk, and Kherson regions. The Russian army has shot the kindergarten in Vorzel (Kyiv region), 50 children were hiding inside at the moment of shelling. Ukrainian, Panama, and Moldova ships were bombed by Russian forces in the Black Sea.

I wish you never understand what it’s like to hear a shell flying over your house at 6 a.m. But believe me, if you had ever experienced it, even once, you’d have understood why are we so disappointed with the USA and European governments’ reaction. You’d have understood why Ukrainians are begging Europe to shelter our sky. We promise to handle the rest, we will handle the borderline. But, please, protect civilians.

Since the beginning of invading 2800 Russian soldiers lost their lives. It is crazy that this should sound like good news for us. But imagine that all of those 2800 people have come to our land to kill us. We don’t want to kill but we will protect ourselves.
❗️Not all, but many Russians don’t want this war too - yesterday people have been protesting in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, and Ekaterinburg. Russian bloggers, influencers, artists, and media workers publicly ask Putin to stop the invading. It’s only Putin’s war. It’s his huge dream to reunite the Soviet Union. His big plan was to kill our freedom.
Putin’s video where he explains the “urgency and necessity” of invading Ukraine in order to “save” Ukrainians from the attack of “Ukrainian fascists” was recorded on February, 21st - 3 days before the invading. Officially proved. Every Putin’s word is a lie. GO SAFE YOURSELF.

We do have our hopes in our bravest soldiers and in almighty God. Ukraine has the truth on its side. Dear world, watch us - we are protecting not only our homeland but the whole of Europe too.🇺🇦
