Well, I don't use an iPhone or iPad do I'm not familiar with that pop-up message. Even if I was, me accepting or declining depends. If declining means that I won't be able to use the app, I would have no option but to just accept.
From what you've explained, this may have been going on long before now only that the new feature makes it known to users now.
I'm wondering why they want to have access to users' activities by tracking their phones.
If I make my research and see that it causes no harm if it is safe, then it's fine. If not there's no way.
It just sounds like a selfish motive. To track users activities in other to earn from them.

I think it is about optimizing profits. They use your data to show you ads that have higher probability of you clicking on them and potentially buying things. :)

Oh, I get it.
So that's how they earn from users activities.
