Until the current structure of the economy changes, I don't think it will happen. Even if the people in China had crypto (illegal), how many would accept it during the current times? Then they also have to deliver goods which isn't really possible due to the lockdowns. So I think the government and it's influence is the biggest issue.

If they'd disobey there wouldn't be any lockdown. If they disobey they could create a "decentralized government"... theoretically.
