I started the game a day ago but it sure is rough once you can start getting attacked. Well, I guess I made back the SCRAP by attacking some people but I guess getting more stats is a priority.

Yeah, the evolution is forceful and you need to keep up strengthening your skill to face the opponents. It is idle but it takes quite some energy to keep up!
