The land stuff seems pretty complicated and the costs to get a head start seems to be quite a bit too. I think it's going to be tough for some of the smaller players and I wonder what they plan to do with their land.

I don't think it's too expensive for the smaller players. 200k DEC should pretty much cover everything you need and then some for a single plot. That's less than $20. It's the people with 1000 plots or more that are going to have the issues. You're talking over $50k to get all those working. And that's just the DEC. That doesn't even take the actual cards into account. They'll need 5000 of those too. In other words, there's a very legitimate chance you'll see some of these landholders dump a bunch of their common and rare plots and focus on working their castle, keeps, legendary, and epics.
