RE: Hive Distributed At Least $6,866,529 As Content Rewards In The First Half Of 2022

It's impressive to see the amount but are the curators supposed to get more than the author rewards? I thought it was like half to curators and half to authors. However, I guess it could be based on the price of Hive so people are getting more Hive now instead.

Yes, I thought too it was half half… 🤔 it doesn’t look that way.

And there is another interesting aspect. The curation efficiency. This can be more than 100%, which means that the curators can earn more curation rewards than their upvote value. I have read from someone that he/she had around (or more than) 500% curation efficiency for an upvote.

Yes… the curation rewards and the efficiency differ. You are right. I have every day some efficiency scores higher than 100% and I think we talked about this before. My highest has been around 675% but I haven’t looked much lately. The average swings around 98 to 104% total.
But I thought the list above didn’t included that. I thought I pt was only about the posts and their author and curator.

Normally it is 50/50. I am not sure why there is discrepancy in rewards between authors and curators. My guess is it may have to do with how beneficiaries used, burning rewards, etc.
