So I know that people didn't think flying cars were a viable option. But it looks like it is still in development. I think there are many issues with it but what do you think?

About ten years or so ago, I almost bought the domain name aircar.com But then thought if we didn't have The Jetsons flying cars by then, it was unlikely to happen anytime soon. Shoulda done it! :)

Lol I remember watching the Jetsons. Back when we didn't have the internet as much and TVs were the thing, it would show up quite often.

Personally I think it is a non starter. There is nothing that tells me we will ever see this. Who wants a bunch of flying taxis traveling overhead? Think of all the debris on roads. Where do people think that will go? It will be falling on our heads.
The idea is a futuristic concept that really has little applicability in my opinion. We already have helicopters which are essentially the same thing and how many people fly in them?

I think there are plenty of rich people who just want the experience but as you said, there are too many issues for it to be mainstream.

You mentioned the experience, I wonder what the future of space tourism is. That, to me, seems to be an experience that once they get through the mega wealthy, who is going to get involved.
Sure we could see a drop in pricing but will it be more than a fad?
