It seems like the poorest areas are developing the fastest and places like the US are lagging behind. I wonder if all that old infrastructure is blocking us from adopting the newest stuff.

I honestly think it is our ties to the bankers. Plus we have an "advanced" political system with a bunch of lawyers who are full of themselves with a God Complex.
