I am waiting for things to turn virtual. Then the limited amount of space in the world will be less of a problem. You could just create them in VR rather than in real life. The costs would be significantly less and you wouldn't be using up much resources.

Yep. We are already seeing in, been happening for 20 years. I remember when music came on CDs and films on DVDs and both were played on electronic devices.
Today we have none of that. We saw the same with film for cameras, pictures, atlases, and a lot of office paper.
Technology means we see less used over time.
