Thanks for the tag! Yep, on-chain polls would also use some network block space and burn some RCs.
But, devs should try to design their custom_json protocol to minimize the footprint. As good citizens.
It is relevant but it will take a lot. All of it helps but we need to see a lot more than 5K MAUs.
