A big win for the Mets and against one of the teams battling for one of those wild card spots. With the win the Mets have the tie breaker against the Cardinals. Manea has been spectacular his last two starts. Tyrone Taylor has been a godsend @taskmaster4450le

Manea did a great job. He is on a roll. We need Severino to bounce back after the dud he threw the last outing.
Absolutely. Need to see Sevy bounce back and keep some of us Mets fans off the ledge lol.
LOL Especially after Snell threw the no-no, many were screaming for him. I am like, he wasnt traded you fools.
I didn't want Severino to be traded but was on board if the Mets would have gone in on Snell because my understanding was that they wouldn't give up any top prospects but they didn't pull the trigger.
No and I actually agree with Strearns. They are not to the point to go after it full tilt. That creates too many one and done.
Build a sustained winner. There might be a few Delgado type trades out there this Winter if he has the prospect collateral (which he does).
I'm bullish with what the Mets will do this offseason.
Wow! 6 to 0! A big victory!
A definite good win!
Yeah! Without a doubt.
Is that the end of their head to head (with the Cards)?
Although it is a bit early to look at tie breakers.
I believe it is @taskmaster4450le and they've played 112 games. There are only 50 games remaining. It's balls to the wall and every win counts from here on out. Not to mention the Diamondbacks are hot, the Giants are picking it up and a few other teams that the Mets will have to battle and knowing we have a tie breaker agains one of those teams means a lot.
That is true. They need to go on another roll. It is a tight race with a lot of teams in it.
Fortunately, the Giants, Padres, and DBacks will have some games with each other meaning some losses will be racked up.
The Mets just have to take care of business.
They need Alonso to pick it up.
Yep. He was dropped from the lineup.
Do you think he will be a Met in 2025?
My feeling is Stearns isnt too interested in giving him a big contract. I think they let him walk.
The Mets will make him a good offer but no way can I see Cohen and Stearns going into a bidding war for him. It wouldn't make sense and I don't see them outbidding themselves for any player really. The Mets don't have that five tool superstar kid and they have to put themselves in position to groom one in their own farm system until then if they go for broke it would have to be for Soto and I can tell you I wouldn't be crushed if they didn't sign the guy because he's going to be looking for 500 million starting point. Let the Yankees go all in on him. If Cohen says fuck it and outbids everyone then so be it but I don't see that it's the right time to go all in on someone. They have other weaknesses that need to be addressed.
6-0 here in Brazil is a rout. I believe that in the United States this victory is a great score.
