Some great tips and advice in this post.
I say that because most people aren’t producing content to attract outsiders. They are focused on creating inward-facing content.
Internal content earns better. I know that if I write 10 posts, and one of them is about hive or LEO, it will be the best performing post. I really hope that curators work on this, and actively look for more outward facing content.
Thanks for this post, it has lots of great advice for anyone looking to bring more external traffic to Leo.

Yeah, I've been talking about that quite recently as well. That curators basically hold the future of Hive & LeoFinance in their hands. Each vote matters.
Outward-facing content is the way to go in terms of onboarding new people, but it's often a lot easier to produce inward-facing content instead. Especially talking about Hive/LEO..
I think it's a bit weird that we haven't been able to change that yet.

I guess the internal content thing is understandable, as it is the one thing that all of us in the community have in common, so its likely to catch more interest.
Writing for a twitter audience, or for google search results will bring outside attention, but may be of little interest to most on Leo.
It's a tough nut to crack.

That is 100% true and I can totally understand that. I'm fine with that, but I truly wish that people would put some interest in content that is being created for outside attention, as that is beneficial for everyone in the long haul.

This to me is very beautiful and will make content creators to dive into creating contents that promotes SEO.

Most content creators aren't creating optimized content because it's simply not "worth it" for them. Short-term. I do hope that we will see a change regarding this, as we will benefit more by outward-facing content.

How then can we deal with these sets of persons who just take from the system without doing much to spread the news of the blockchain abroad for external investors to come in.
If this has a negative effect on the blockchain, then we need to work on it now before it ruin the progress of the blockchain.

It's like @jk6276 said above:
Here's the thing: We need both inward- and outward-facing content.
Inward-facing content to keep existing users and outward-facing to bring more new users.
Let's say news and updates about Hive/LEO, new dApps and games being released. Success-stories and the "Hive power up" posts we see. All of those things are inward-facing content, but most of it could be outward-facing content.
For instance, the amazing LeoFinance news we saw previously. The Ad Revenue change or the HBD APR change. Amazing news for everyone, but most people are focused on creating inward-facing content around those things instead of creating outward-facing content that would actually draw attention from outside of Hive.
As curators are- and have been curating inward-facing content for such a long period of time, ever since the start of Hive, it's literally impossible to change this. What we can do, and what people should do, in my opinion, is to create more outward-facing content, as it can still benefit both existing users and people from the outside.

If this is the case, then I'm in the right direction, I've been creating contents that shows how the HBD interest rate has changed overtime and how people can profit from it and also created post on the newly launched pHBD-USDC vault and the whooping APR and APY interest they can receive.
Thanks and thank God I'm heading towards the right direction.

At the end of the day, people are free to do whatever they want. They can do as they wish with their stake and they can create whatever content they want, which is a very good thing.
However, if we tried to focus a bit more on optimized content, both in terms of creating it and rewarding it, we would see massive results in terms of growth.

I just know that many are called but few are chosen to do the dirty jobs in every industry, it's pertinent at this point that we look for our like minds that'll keep the system going.

This will not change anytime soon. Hivers like reading/upvoting blogs about Hiveverse more than anything else. Not sure how we can solve this!

I honestly don't think that we can. Even the DHF proposals are about marketing and things like that, but people are talking about spreading the word with various campaigns, logos, dApps and whatever. Instead of pushing extra $$$ to creators who produce optimized content that will bring traffic naturally, over time which is something I definitely would recommend.
Imagine a proposal of something low as $50 HBD per day for 30 days for creators who focused on optimized content. I don't think we would ever see something like that be supported.
I often feel like people are trying to reinvent the wheel. If people just stick with creating optimized content we would reach new heights automatically, but people doesn't seem to understand that.

The monetization of content comes from internal sources. Content appealing to Hive or Leo whales will do better.

I think many people know and understand the importance of optimized content, but they aren't willing to create such content due to the risk of having the content being ignored. Way easier to just put up that 11th Hive-post in a row and earn something instead of facing the risk of not being rewarded.

Curated section will be all external content this week. I have the power this week with Leoalpha. The only LEO/HIVE that will be there will be announcements that Khal puts there.
We shall see how that goes.
