Businesses That Thrived and Those That Vanished in the Tech Revolution

Tech revolution has been the one of the greatest topics on many lips during this past century with so many people wondering how far this is going to go and how much expansion we are expecting tech to make with it's effect touching so many industries especially industries we never thought it it will have the level of effect on.

This advancement has reshaped how industries and companies operate.

While some companies and industries adapted to this others struggle and have been stuck where they or they've vanished in the case of some companies around the world.

I took some companies a long time to fully come to grasped with what was going on while other companies just went another notch higher thanks to this advancement almost as though these companies had been wanting for this to happen a long time now.

Tech revolution isn't just focusing on few directions anymore, it's virtually everywhere now but the level at which some industries are getting hit by this might be different from other industries cause it seems to show some level of mercy to some industries compared to others.

This post focuses more on industries that have thrived thanks to tech revolution and those that didn't thrive going under the rather.

I have to say this companies have actually tried considering the whole battle to stay relevant looks like these companies were battling against the world looking at how vast technology has been and how fast it was adopted in so many countries leaving these companies with little time to plan a way out of it.

Industries that have benefitted from the tech revolution include industries like

• Communication and social media

The industry that's has probably enjoyed tech revolution the most with major billionaires coming out of this industry a lot of whom are people that probably have gotten to that level of financial gain without the tech revolution.

Billionaires like mark are big examples of the positive effects of tech revolution likewise others whom might not have made billions but have made a reasonable amount of income from this.

Tech companies like Facebook and Instagram are results of this revolution.

• Tech adapted finance

Another big one 😄, and it has affected the number of times we spend in banks trying to make transactions that could have been done within few seconds at the comfort of our home.

Online banking has taken over so many transactions around irrespective of their size.

• Streaming

We now stream movies and songs instead of acquiring hard disk of the movie or song, with the level that we've enjoyed streaming i hardly doubt there will be anyone who would love to go back to the time before that period.

Then we have retail giants like Amazon and in parts of Africa jumia, they are also major gainers of the tech revolution.

While other industries have benefited so much from this other industries have suffered and subsequently disappeared due to this revolution.

• Print media decline

I think this industry was hit the most because it's only used to pass information around and now there's tech that's has all the information you can get from all the print media in one device on the palm our hand, I can't remember when last i saw a newspaper as we call it around here.

• Video rental shops

When I was young we would go this shops to rent movies that were disk at that time watch them and return the disk back, there was a time scale place whenever you rent one and once you don't meet that scale you pay more but now you get all those movies online and at better quality.

For the financial sector we don't see a lot of cash around anymore.

On a scale I still prefer the tech revolution for now but if things go sideways then we have ourselves to blame for not utilizing this the right way.
