It’s hard to believe that the month of June has officially come to an end. That once again means that it is my favorite time of the month. When I calculate my crypto-related earnings for the entire month. If you’re new, this is part of an ongoing monthly series that I write chronicling my journey towards hopefully reaching financial independence. It is never my intention to boast about my earnings.
There are two reasons why I write these articles. The first is that by writing down and maintaining records of my performance, it helps to keep me motivated. Sometimes when the market becomes difficult, it can be hard to see our own progress. The second reason is that I hope by sharing my progress, will also help to motivate someone else to begin their own journey toward financial freedom. After all, if I can find any level of success, then you definitely can as well.
During June, my earnings consisted of 2 main sources. Writing about cryptocurrency and staking. I’m still searching for a 3rd pillar to add to the mix ever since I stopped lending out crypto.
There is no denying that the last year has been difficult to be a cryptocurrency investor. The price has seemingly always gone down, and then there were the insolvencies that ravaged the market as well. With that said, Bitcoin began to recover this month. Large in part due to the news that BlackRock will be applying for a spot Bitcoin ETF. For the longest time, the US spot Bitcoin ETF has been thought of as the holy grail in this market. That it will be the catalyst that helps propel the price of Bitcoin to $100k. Either way, I’m glad to see that positive sentiment has returned to the market. It will be interesting to see if this trend will be able to continue.
Without further delay, let’s look at my performance during June.
Cryptocurrency Blogging
Publish0x was the first place I began writing, and remains one of my favorite places. It is one of the most welcoming places where everyone is friendly and helpful. Everyone here wants to learn and become successful. It also remains a very consistent earner for me as well. Always ending the month typically in the same range.
During June I reached the 8,000 follower milestone. I’d like to thank everyone who takes the time to read my articles and support me. It means the world to me. Now onward to 9k!

I was a little surprised to see my earnings recover a little bit on Hive during the month of June. I attribute this mostly to the mood in the crypto market beginning to recover. When people are excited about prices, they want to read more about the market.

My follower numbers on Substack continue to increase, but unfortunately, there were no new paid members this month.

June was another solid month on Medium which continues to be my biggest earner. However, my growth on the platform in terms of earnings has been stagnant for a few months now. My theory is that this is completely due to people not being excited to read about the crypto market in the last few months. The same problem that I was seeing on Hive. I believe my performance here will continue to improve as the market improves.

Unfortunately, there were no freelance writing opportunities this month.

Crypto Staking
Coinbase
0.0312434 ETH = $57.80
For the time being I am staking a small portion of ETH on Coinbase. The fees they charge are horrible, but the convenience is great. Also, it is much easier to file taxes as well. With that said, I will probably move this Ethereum somewhere else to stake in the future to earn a higher rate.

I continue to stake my ICP on the NNS and am enjoying the passive income. ICP continues to be the largest gamble that I’m taking in my portfolio. It will either become something huge, or dwindle to zero.

Coinbase wallet continues to be a great way to earn a little extra crypto. This month they were offering $30 worth of OP for participating in a few tasks.

Overall, my earnings for the month of June were a little down from my expectations but continued to stay in the same range where I typically end up. But I’m very happy with them and am excited to keep grinding next month.
