Let me have a quick talk with you guys...
I promise, this won't take long. If you read any of my blogs, you'll know I don't drag things on. Short and to the point is the way I like it :)
Let's talk about the P word!
Without this, you have nothing to build upon.
Without it, you'll had the journey you are about to embark on.
When you have it though, it doesn't matter what your day is like, you will show up here every single day with a smile from ear to ear.
I'm talking about....
Passion!
And it's something I've discussed before here, more than once i'm sure, mainly because it's something I truly believe in that you must have when trying to build a brand, business or enterprise online. You must absolutely, without reservation, LOVE with a passion what you do!
Here's the example I always share when I talk about passion.
Let's be honest, you are going to create content on chain, and very few whales may upvote you. So thinking you are going to make a living off your effort here is wishful thinking. But you will have days when you feel like your effort and content is being valued.
Welcome to the roller coaster of being a content creator on chain!
So you know, there will be plenty of ups and downs every time you log on. And you have to know this going in. It's a lot easier to deal with the roller coaster when you LOVE what you do...AKA you have passion in your niche, topic, content, business, whatever....
This is what turns into big success when you keep showing up. You don't care how many rewards you get. You show up anyways. The passion you have on building your business or brand here is what matters, rewards are secondary!
And when you attract some good rewards, great, don't get too comfortable. Keep showing up and keep creating. And if you are worried about how you do that, maybe you haven't found your passion yet.
How do you find your passion?
Simple...Ask yourself, if you could talk about anything every day and have people listen to your opinions about it....And you didn't care if you got rewarded or not....
That's your passion!
Here's a quick little exercise that I've used in the past to keep focused on my passion....
Use a mindmap!
Grab a piece of paper and write down your passion in the middle of a circle....
And then draw lines outwards from it....Attach a task, piece of content, book you can read, video you can watch about that passion and watch your passion GROW!
Take that mind map and add to it every day you come up with new ways on how you can share your passion, or learn more about it. A passion isn't something you spend a minute on and then move onto the next thing....Become absolutely obsessed about it and you'll never run out of things to talk about on this blockchain that's for sure.

I've said it before, and I'll likely say it again: I write for me. Much like you say, passion is the key. I would be writing my D&D/TTRPG/Worldbuilding stuff offline even if I wasn't on HIVE (and in fact most of my drafting IS done offline these days), and I post for like... 4 people who read my stuff. Been doing it... five years now? Not about to stop, and I see a number of the folks I enjoy reading doing exactly the same. While we can earn here, it's best IMO to treat it like any other blog - love the stuff you make, and let it stand on its own.
and that way, you'll never run out of stuff to write about....if you love the content, you'll never stop!
Exactly! Often my biggest issue isn't deciding what to write about it's getting things to a place where I can feel good about the content I'm putting out. That's easier when I'm reviewing other folks' ttrpgs, but when I'm doing my own worldbuilding and such it's a balance of "is this complete enough to share?" and "is there enough context for anyone besides me to think 'huh, neat'"?
And all this time I thought the P word was "policy"... I like your version better :)
ha ha ha ha my bad, sorry to let everyone down sir!!
Also, passion brought all of us here. Even though we get millions here, some people will still not write because they do not have the passion and if we do not follow our passion, it will keep calling us whenever we have a little experience of it
the best part about it we can get rewarded for our passion here too!
You better write for yourself because if you wait for the whales to come you'll die waiting. You have to make your own way.
write about what you love, you'll never run out of ideas!
ohh Passion, and i thought you meant Pants :-)
Yes, passion is all it takes to overcome hurdles

the P word can be deadly!!
It was a post I needed to read at the moment. I get the whales' vote less often. At times it is pretty disappointing to get lesser rewards despite putting more efforts on my post as compared to those recieving more rewards.
I have been asking myself why am I writing what I am writing. I realized if that's for the rewards primarily, disappointment is inevitable. If there is a bigger purpose for it, than a little earning be felt rewarding
Just create on InLeo, the whales on that platform vote stuff all the time! you will feel much more valued there
I have heard of inleo before. It needs some monthly payment, I guess. Does it?
Nope, just create your content directly on InLeo.io and get rewarded in $LEO tokens (as well as Hive)
Really! I was told that we gotta pay some 10$ monthly. Thanks for the information 🙏
nah nah, that's only if you want a premium account. well worth it mind you but it's not a necessity
Aaah! I see. I will trying using inleo then for me next post.
I wonder what's the difference between a normal and a premium account?
I think it's good to have passion about what you are writing. I think it's better to like what you are writing about otherwise it just feels like a grind.
So true! It's why I rarely write about crypto these days, it bores me lol
I've narrowed that range of crypto analysis I read, particularly outside of a Hive context.
