O.k., I don't think this will be a 'long drawn out' post by any stretch. But because I've been M.I.A. for the past few days, I thought it would be a good time for a quick update.
I'm finally moved in!
We took possession of our new home last Friday and spent all weekend and into the new week, moving homes. Now while we are still unpacking and living in the midst of boxes and contractor bags filled with kids clothes, we are officially 'moved in'.
And you know when it really hit me today.....
I got off work at 5pm and before we lived in town, I would have to drive either 2 hours back to the old house, or about 20-30 minutes to the rental we had.
This evening, it took me 3 and a half minutes to commute home lol
And then when I got home, dinner was ready, the kids were sitting at the table and we enjoyed our first family dinner in the new house.
I can't begin to describe how awesome this was for me. And I was thinking, should I even try to express that feeling in a blog post? Here's why I had to get this off my chest....
Relief.
No more commutes. No more driving on the highway day in and day out. I'm home, pretty much every night and we get to be a family. This is what it truly is about. The relief I feel from knowing that I don't have to 'drive' home anymore is just awesome.
I know this may seem a little odd, and not what you may think of as a Pulitzer Prize winning article....But for me, it's pretty much the most important blog post I've made on this blockchain in a long long time.

I understand you perfectly. I still remember when I had to travel by train for 2 hours to get to work.
It's insane. I spent 3-4 hours a day in my car, away from my family.

That sounds great. The commute can get quite annoying and having a closer place is always nice. I hope you get everything settled soon.
