slang for first hand info as i understand it how it's used by khal & co and the interwebs says: "When it comes to investing in cryptocurrencies, alpha represents the excess returns generated by an investment above the expected market return. It is a measure of an investor's skill in identifying profitable opportunities and outperforming the overall market."
ahhhh. i get it. i think lol
Was it you who planted that @rondon was gonna talk about reward pool @jongolson? Remember that you promised me some scandals, but dont know if that what was you were referring to :D
alpha is usually referring to information that's super hot or new being shared
so like ‘on fleek’???? did i do that right???
you got me there, no fuckin clue on that one lol
I was wondering the same... 😀

I am an old fart too and I think I don't think alpha is the alpha I know :P
loool…well, it is when someone offers an incredibly valuable information that can give you an edge over others. But crypto people have not been using it positively and it now automatically Carrie’s a negative question mark on its head
im so old lol
It is also sometimes called “alfa”

It's like some hot new stuff that the regular people would not have heard about yet
lol geeez. i was way off.
If it's related to software development then alpha means first phase and beta means second and then third is final release.
doesn’t seem to be the context in which people are using it. that’s what i assume when i hear alpha tho.
Yes in crypto they use it as branding or to imply super early stuff too.
That means I knew what alpha was but it felt like I didn't, lol
I'm young but I'm still not sure if I know what that is so I'm also here to read the responses from others, hehe
I always look for Alpha NFTs in p2e game projects
Age is just a number :)
