Soulbound Summoners at some good levels are a great addition to the game. While they might not offer a lot of abilities like the Lux Vega or Possibilius the wise, they're a gateway through which gladius cards are introduced into the game. Of course Abilities are the functionalities of summoners. They're the main reasons why some summoners are more expensive than others.
While summoners can extensively win you games on some occasions, the Abilities of your cards or the level of the summoners calling these cards are very crucial. I like to mention that I prefer the level of summoners rather than the Abilities they bring. For example, I'd prefer a level 5 Helios Matriarch to a level 1 Lux Vega. It's an unpopular opinion. The Lux Vega is a limited edition; expensive, elegant, and stylish, but you'll need a set of decent cards to match that quality, and a favorable ruleset as well.
Soulbound, Not Useless
Because they're soulbound a lot of people would assume that soulbound summoners are cheap. No, they aren't, because you need the accumulation of real assets to earn them, and it's quite a journey to accumulate them to the level of your cards unless you're constantly playing in the gold and diamond leagues or even higher. Accumulating soulbound summoners is a marathon, and you can't just earn them because they have no dollar value, you need real assets to earn them.
This isn't to undermine the value of tradable summoners, because without them, you wouldn't be able to earn them (soulbound summoners) in the first place. Because of the soulbound summoners, I've been able to make a mainstay in the gold league, it wouldn't have been possible in the past, and this game is proof.
The Game
So in this game, my opponent played a level 5 Tarsa (A CL summoner) I only had my Tarsa at level 2 and if I played this guy with my level 2 Tarsa, I was going to lose and lose outrageously. So I turned up with my level 5 Helios Matriarch. Of course, this allowed me to play my level 3 chimney wallstop. (A Gladius card). This is a major advantage, apart from the cost of the Helios' mana, sometimes sacrificing 2 mana to have a gladius card in your lineup is worth it when you're playing some Ruleset.
One card I was able to play maxed out is the legendary SORRIEL THE BALE. It was the first time I had a maxed-out card in my lineup, and this card was instrumental in winning the game. It reduced the enemy's shield by two, had double strike, and came with a blind ability. The enemy utilized a sneak Ruleset and this was how I countered his strategy, I was opportune to have my chimney and SORRIEL do all the damage.
Growing the right crops of soulbound cards is never a waste. There are some resources you'll never be able to buy unless you turn up with a million dollars at the moment. Such investment can X10 your investment in the bull run. This is hypothetical. So having the ability to grow a crop of cards that allows you to battle with the big boys is such an opportunity. I see a future where soulbound summoners will be a course for concern, as their ability to integrate Gladius cards and rapidly grow in level might be a case for consideration.
However, I believe earning soulbound cards will not be forever as a time will come when they'll go out of print, so treasure and earn them while you can as they're a formidable asset in the in-game ecosystem and hierarchy.

I thought soul bound summoners were the starters - the likes of Tarsa.
Also, what other perks come with a level 5 Tarsa aside the +1 melee attack and health? I thought the only perks that came with leveled up summoners was that they allow you to summon higher level monsters?
We have soulbound cards as well as summoners. You earn them by playing and competing. They're not starters. They're soulbound because you can't buy them or sell them, only earning them through playing.
Tarsa on the other hand which the opponent had is a choas legion summoner that you can buy out there. At level 5, Tarsa should be up to $250 if I'm not wrong.
So I'm playing with a soulbound summoner. The Helios Matriarch.
When you see a card with a chain by the lower left corner, it's soulbound
Wildddd!!! I need to look up a level 5 Tarsa to see what exactly it does to be $250. This is crazy.😅
Alright, thanks, man.
It might be lesser, say $150 but not lower than 150 I think. You need about 50 cards or so to level Tarsa to level 5 if I'm not wrong. It's been a long time I leveled up regular cards.
Soul bounds are awesome! I have a secondary account that is run by a bot and mainly uses soulbound summoners and is playing in gold! Sorriel the Bale is a great card, but mine isn't gold and only level one. On my main account I have only ever pulled one gold legendary in about a three year span, and my secondary pulls gold legendary cards at least once a month now. But they're all soulbound!
Great job on the battle, soulbound summoners are great, especially in combo with some nice gladius cards. Great post!
How's your day been so far? How are you feeling?

I pull a legendary about once in a month as well. But getting soulbound GFL is not an easy task, but I think I do it once in 3 to 4 months. Playing in Gold isn't easy. good job on running the bot. I'll have done that too but I prefer to play, because I have the time and I enjoy doing so too.
Just like you said, using them in combo gives you some solid outcome sometimes. Just like in this game for me.
It's a sunny day and I'm home, not a lot has changed with my routine, I'm just counting the days. I guess you've also been doing well too?
Levels are important and I think soul bound summoners are definitely a marathon. It takes time and luck to build those summoners high enough level. I think the biggest benefits to that card is the gladiator card because there are quite a few very powerful gladiators. Other than that, I don't think i use it that much because I have other summoners at the silver cap.
Oh yes, the ability to use them to call gladius cards is the biggest advantage, but it has helped me play some of my other soulbound cards at a higher level and it's been really instrumental going forward as well for me
Some of the names you mentioned sounded unfamiliar as I am not acquainted with the game. Nonetheless it's an interesting game and no doubt you had a lot of fun playing it. I wonder if the people you play with are computer game characters or real players? Thanks for writing and have a great week.
Yes, it's a fun game
