This has spoken to me alot..
The scenerio you used was straightforward and understandable
It doesn't make sense seeing someone by road and calling them with their names without any first experience..
When I joined the chain newly I was found wanting on that error but gradually I've learned to deviate from such..
In regards to reblogging contents I most often read a content, get the message from that content before reblogging. I don't reblog post like that what if what am reblogging is nonsense 😂😂 it's true allot of people are found wanting on this..
Thanks for bringing this great knowledge to us.. I think my fellow newbies needs to listen to this... Thanks bro 🙏💞💜

You're welcome, I believe engagement should be systemic and done really well in other to be effective. I'm glad you actually pointed out that scenario I mentioned, showed how much you saw the video.
Yeah I believe when you joined the chain, it's absolutely different from now. You've learnt a lot and everyone eventually keeps learning as we cannot know it all.

Yeah, bro..
I have really learned alot and still learning that's why I don't skip important post that is specially made to uplift Newbies in this space...
Thank you so much bro am learning alot from you too, you won't really get what am saying but time will reveal boss 😁😁😁 🙏🙏💜💜

I totally agree with you on the aspect of mentioning users on your post which is not appropriate without engaging with such people because for you to do that there should be a bond or interaction that has taking place with such people for the awareness to be totally glaring and the mention should be worth it as well.

Thanks for watching the video and pointing this out exactly. I find it wierd getting a mention when the post isn't directly relating to me and I don't really know the person. When used wrongly it can signal a spammy intention.

I don't really reblog too much and I try not to tag people so much unless they are relevant. I think people would just come over anyways if they are interested. As for mentions, I don't mind if people mention me but I am busy enough dealing with my feed, listnerds and leomarkettalk so I tend to ignore them sometimes.

I don't mind mentions too, but it actually has to be relevant, or rne post actually has to concern me, or the user in particular and I share a closer relationship you know. I think it sends a spammy intention sometimes.

You've spoken well. We are usually quick to taking shortcuts to engagement. I'm guilty of some, but as you've highlighted, these approaches are not as good as organic engagement methods such as commenting, posting and voting. And attention gathered through this process are usually shortlived.
It's a timely reminder!

In actuality, these two forms of engagement are mentioning and reblogging. Often done amiss

I have taken notes. Thanks for the heads up. I must confess that as a newbie I have been guilt of some of the things you pointed. But you live and you learn.

Yeah, you live, learn and apply the knowledges gotten. Everyone eventually makes mistakes

It could be stated tho that there are rewards to be gained from re-blogging.

There aren't rewards for reblogging. It's aim is to get traction and more exposure for the owner of the content and for reference purposes. If this isn't the aim then it's being done amiss.

That name-bombing thing is so spammy. I hope people will learn.

Yeah, it feels even more awkward when you don't know what to respond to such a post.

Noted !. Thanks so much for the admonition. As a newbie I hope to do better.

Thank you for taking the time to address this. I will certainly implement all I have just learnt.

Thanks for watching

You are most welcome.

Very interesting video content. Tagging is very bad if used to spam and also reblogging is not like retweeting. I really do find the vlog quite educative and informative.
