This is the first edition, which was released in 2007. A second edition was released in 2014. Minus the glossary, notes, and index, the book clocks in at 141 pages, so it is indeed concise. Since I became involved in Bitcoin and crypto, I've taken an interest in the macro economy and frequently hear the concepts described in this book on various podcasts. This book does a terrific job of tying these major macroeconomic concepts together in a clear and easy to read manner. Everyone needs a book like this in their library to help them understand concepts such as GDP, inflation, nominal versus real, monetary versus fiscal policy, etc. The book isn't at all critical of Keynesian economics and modern monetary theory, and I can't tell if the author is a Keynesian himself. It doesn't really matter since the Keynesian system is the one within which we exist. We need to understand the world within which we exist. There are plenty of other books available that are critical of how the macro economy is currently managed.
I will be keeping my eye out for a used second edition. I recommend this book if you need a broad understanding of the macroeconomy. If you are looking for a deep dive however, you're likely to be disappointed. I have the 700-page Basic Economics by Thomas Sowell sitting on my shelf still unread-- that could be more your speed. I hope to dip into that one soon.

141 pages! Wow! Very thin. Thank you for introducing the book.
I heard a lot of good things about Thomas Sowell. However, just like you, still I haven't touched yet his 700-page Basic Economics.
