GRUND

  • When he first met Bera Dallin in New Everitt he couldn’t help but marvel at her martial prowess. After having spent some time with her he became proficient in the use of the warhammer. His great strength meant that he could hold one in a single hand and so it wasn’t long before he acquired another and began to dual wield them in combat. - Grund

MY TEAM LINEUP

image.png

SUMMONER
NAMEDaria Dragonscale
ABILITY+1 Damage
LEVEL3
The rules are for melee monsters that can attack from any position, so I thought to use this summoner to take advantage of the rules and make good use of the GRUND for its double-strike ability to win the battle for melee fights in this match.

FIRST POSITION
NAMEDjinn Chwala
ABILITYThorn
LEVEL3
For the first position, I'm going to use a monster that can reflect some damage on the opponent, and that would be Djinn Chwala, so that has thorns on itself. This will be my tank on the front line.

SECOND POSITION
NAMERobo Dragon knight
ABILITYVoid, Devine shield, Piercing
LEVEL2
Another melee monster to add to my team is this one that can pierce through the armor of monsters, and if my front line is dead, I can use this as a substitute to be the main tank because of his void for a magical monster that might kill or wipe out every melee attacker on my team.

THIRD POSITION
NAMECarnage Titan
ABILITYReach, Double strike
LEVEL2
This monster's reach and double strike are a good combination for Robo if Djinn chwala dies. The double strike is another thing that I like about this card, so I use it to add another monster to kill the opponent's team faster.

FOURTH POSITION
NAMEGrund
ABILITYDouble strike
LEVEL3
Grund is another damager for my team with a double strike and 4 damage, buffs with Daria Dragonscale, which adds 1 melee attack for every monster on my team. Grund is so good when it comes to rules in melee mayhem, and you can maximize him by using support with tank heal ability.

FIFTH POSITION
NAMEWhelp Herder
ABILITYOpportunity,Snare
LEVEL5
Whelp herder with 3 mana and opportunity is a big help to fill up the mana and execute monsters with low health.

diamond.jpg

SIXTH POSITION
NAMEBrownie
ABILITYSwiftness
LEVEL3
Brownie with a swiftness ability is good for adding speed and being first to attack because speed matters in the first rounds of the match. This will make your winning chance higher and you can take advantage of it for later rounds.

⚔️THE MATCH⚔️

BATTLE LINK -> Battle match

My enemy is using Delwyn Dragonscale as a summoner to add magic to his monsters, so his strategy to come up is to use magic to burst down my team faster, but hell nah, I have a team that can rip those monsters apart using melee damage and a double monster with double strike ability, so let's head to the battle now!

ROUND 1

image.png

Round 1 starts, but it seems his agor longtail can't deal damage anymore by the next rounds because my monsters use their brute melee damage to chunk up his health and kill it instantly before attacking my first position monster, Djinn chwala. By this round, agor longtail is out, and another monster, soul fiend, is killed by my carnage titan with its double strike, and for the last hit, Robo. Another thing is out, Caladumm, whose health is going in half because of damage by Grund.

ROUND 2

image.png

Round 2, and you can see almost what the results will look like. The table has turned on my side thanks to these great melee damagers in my team to kill the taunt monster and as well as the magic monster with whopping 4 magic. For this second round, only 3 monsters are left for my enemy.

image.png

This round only burst down the enemy with my two double strike monsters; the heavy hitters killed them both. Those 5 damage points can kill off almost any health under 10, so I'm winning this by using the advantage of melee and double strike to my advantage.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

Yes, my strategy works because when the rules come out, I think about using Grun and Carnage Titan. The mana cap is big, so I use those two to take advantage of melee mayhem, and also the no armor rules are in my favor, so I think about making a team with only melee and adding speed into it, so I use Brownie with speed up to take the first turn and kill the first position of my enemy, and the rest just wipe it using those two. I must say the strategy really worked, and the enemy monster really can't resist fighting because of those two powerful damage dealers..
