Hello people from all world.
I'm a psychologist and during my graduation and post graduation I studied a lot the area linked to mental health and the financial area linked to psychology.
Within my studies I realized that many mental disorders that people have can make them spend more or less money. I'll talk about some and explain why to you.
1-OCD
In OCD, which we call obsessive compulsive disorder, people are generally more meticulous. They create some rules and follow them under any circumstances. Those with OCD, especially if they are very obsessive, tend to be very orderly people, like to follow rules and tend to plan their actions better. These people usually spend little money. They don't spend little money because they earn less, but because they are more careful when it comes to spending it. They are worried if the expenditure of money is high and, mainly, if it is unnecessary. They like to have savings and save money for emergencies, always earning more than they spend.
2- Depression
Another disorder that can make a person spend less is depression. Here, the person does not spend less for reasons of control, but spends less for staying at home longer, going out less, socializing less and having less energy to carry out actions. A person who stays at home a lot and does not practice many socialization actions tends to have their expenses reduced.
On the other hand, I will talk about 2 disorders that have a great chance of making people spend more.
3- Anxiety
The first is anxiety disorder. Those with this disorder are generally not very good at dealing with "wait and pay". They tend not to be able to wait long to get things done and are more likely to blow money in pursuit of short-term rewards. Some people who tend to have this disorder are not very organized with their money and often spend more than they earn, getting into debt. They are more likely to be socially influenced by the media and friends and spend more money to impress them or to belong to the group.
4-Bipolar disorder
Those with bipolar disorder have to take their medication correctly and undergo therapy. If the person goes into a manic phase, he loses control over his money, not because he is anxious and wants to spend it to have rewards, but because the person loses the ability to plan. She fails to realize that if she spends more than she earns, she will go into debt and deliberately spends her money on whatever comes her way. It is the disorder that most causes people to become indebted. It is always beneficial for the individual who has this disorder and is in the manic phase to be supported by a family member who has greater control over his money.
That's it people. I hope you enjoyed these observations that I made. Good afternoon everyone!!!
