I read a poem last year that that still lives rent-free in my head. I don't remember who wrote it or the title, but the message was powerful. The poet asked a hard question: is it worth giving your life for a country that seems to be falling apart? This made me think of what happened in Nigeria during the End SARS protests in 2020. So many people died fighting for a better country, but sadly, nothing changed.
According to my source, more than 40 people lost their lives during this protest. I wish things were different. I just hope that those who died will not be forgotten and that their sacrifice will inspire others to keep working towards a better future.
Rip to our fallen heroes.
Whenever I ask myself if Nigeria is worth fighting for, I try to remind myself that (major) change does not happen in days not even years.
The loss of lives and properties are the worst part of this change.
Nigeria will be great. It'll take time but it will happen.
All these protests are not useless.
Hmm.
You're absolutely right, good things don't come easily and major changes don't happen overnight. It takes time. Let's keep looking forward to a better tomorrow. A brighter future.
I'm glad to see you this optimistic. I wish I was but sadly I'm not. But let's keep hoping for the best regardless.
This thing is so painful. Another round of people gone and look, nothing done!
Very sad. Let’s hear what he has to day. Stooopid.

Yet another reason to remain indoors because what's the incentive to fight? End SARS, came and went and not only was nothing done, our government tried to gaslight us and the entire world into thinking it never happened.
RIP to our fallen heroes, indeed. Nigeria is not worth fighting for. The odds are always against us.
