In this clip from last week's AMA, we wrap up by talking about the CUB tokenomics and how they're being vastly improved by the new IDO ecosystem.
There have been 3 major stages or "versions" of CUB:
- Initial Launch of CUB
- Migration of CUB From Unsustainable (Goose) to Sustainable (Autofarm) Yield Platform - Kingdoms
- IDOs - Creating a CUB-based Launchpad Ecosystem
IDOs are initial dex offerings. Any token can utilize the permissionless IDO contracts we've built for CUB and launch using our framework.
This allows tokens to gain initial liquidity. The entrance fee is raising via CUB IDO requires CUB-BUSD to be the deposit token to participate.
By taking CUB-BUSD tokens as the IDO raise, 50% of the CUB gets burned automatically and the 50% BUSD that is raised goes to the creators (the team launching the IDO) to use for their initial platform liquidity.
This model will bring an immense token burn to the CUB platform and most importantly: create a dilemma for CUB token hodlers - how to participate in upcoming IDOs while still maintaining a solid CUB position. Buy more tokens to participate or utilize and burn your stack down to get into pre-launch IDOs via smart contract.
CUB has gone through so many major platform changes and the fun is only beginning!

the dilemma is nerve-wracking! haha
how much CUB to spend on what IDO? Im going to try not to have sleepless nights....
when you don't have whale bags of CUB, it feels tempting to hold on, because all this dilemma should push the CUB price up right? Whereas the IDO's are possibly more speculative.... although potentially more profitable in the long run. I hold pretty much all my CUB in the kingdom, so obviously Im more of a safety-first kind of guy, but its very attractive to be given opportunities in the early stages of new projects. Dilemma, dilemma.
And then there's the splinterlands chaos legion coming up next month... I thought I was supposed to be saving for that??? ARGH!!
Its certainly becoming more and more exciting being a part of the wider HIVE ecosystem (having been muddling about here since the old steemit days...) so mega kudos to all the diligent developers such as yourselves who have put so much visionary work in to it. I guess with all these upcoming dilemmas our coins are going to feel more and more like pocket money where you've got a spare $10 and you think, wow, where the hell am I going to spend it today? The sweet shop? The fairground? Savings? Philanthropy? Charity? Art collection? The list is getting longer each week...
