Hey Everyone! In this video, I do a quick walkthrough on how to revoke wallet approvals using the revoke.cash tool. The actual tutorial starts at 1:20 if you want to skip ahead. For the first minute and a half, I talk about why it's important to have good wallet hygiene.
In crypto, getting your wallet compromised is your worst nightmare. You can seemingly do everything right but if you miss a step when saving your phrase, get your phone stolen or even approve the wrong token contract, you can lose all of your funds.
This tutorial aims to help you with the ladder of all those problems: losing funds due to bad wallet hygiene.
In short, good wallet hygiene dictates that you don't have approvals sitting out there for a million different token contracts.
Back in the day, you used to have to check block explorers and do this manually.
Now, we have tools like revoke.cash that make it SUPER easy to manage your wallet approvals. They even have an extension if you want to be proactive.
In this video, I talk about why you would want to do this and then show you exactly how to revoke approvals using the tool, step-by-step.

Just so people are aware Hivesigner has the revoke auths page where you can see and remove any unwanted. I use it about once a quarter to check and remove any if necessary. As apps fall away or I move on from them I make sure to remove the auths just in case.
This video is talking about revoking token approvals on EVM chains
sounds like that could be a separate and good video topic for the future tho
Go for it. It's another option available.
just make sure not to connect to a fake revoke page haha
Great post very useful for those who don't know about this thanks for sharing 👍🏾
