ETH Key Performance Indicators have been really lagging.

Some are afraid that Eth2 will be the nail in the coffin for Ethereum to lose network effects and a new chain like BSC to take over.

Does anyone think that? Do you hold ETH, why or why not

Sort:

I hold some but I haven't been adding to it recently. I don't think it's anywhere near to die or anything like that but I decided to make LEO my priority so I redirected most of my resources to it

I hold ETH and will continue to do so simply because I dont think that chain needs the network effects in the same way as others do.

In the end, my feeling is that Ethereum will attract the Wall Street crowd. With the conversion to coin voting, all those tokens the big money players amassed gives them control.

Ultimately, I think Ethereum ends up being run by the banks.

I agree. ETH has the existing network effects which matter in my opinion.

Given that, it has the decentralization and longevity to “not be” the next LUNA - a rising star that quickly fell. VCs are likely scared by that and will look back toward BTC and ETH to solve it

The difference between LUNA and ETH is galaxies.

There is no way to compare the two. People are building stuff on ETH, even if it is mostly unusable. What is going on with Terra (1 or 2)?

I don't hold ETH, but this might be the reason why ETH is dumping lately. Considering the enormous fees Ethereum is charging we should have and Ethereum killer soon. I also hope that Hive will benefit from this.

I never believed the Ethereum killer narrative. I’m not sure if I believe it now but at the same time, it is lacking on the developments needed to send ETH to the next level.

I’d say my sentiment has flipped from accumulating to hodl and see

Good luck with that...

I used to be a fan of ETH, then I discovered that thing called Gas Fees. Even if I do much more with ERC20s (including stablecoins), I still need ETH to cover Gas Fees. Likewise with BNB, but not to the same degree as with ETH. For that reason I diverted some ETH into other altcoins such as BNB and CUB.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's the pain of ETH, the gas fees. It's a major turn off for me too :)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Same here, gas fees is the reason I gave up on Ethereum and focused on BNB

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Its funny I did the same thing, but when I moved to Polygon for the same reason I was met by a buggy interface, so I would prefer to be on BSC, but none of Polycubs cool stuff has moved to Cub yet...

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well, you could always hold ETH on a different blockchain as there are wrapped versions of them.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

So if I wanted to HODL Ethereum I should use bETH on BSC and if I wanted to HODL BNB I should use pBNB on Polygon (MATIC), right? Then I limit native ETH to Gas fees and native BNB to Gas Fees?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

What's the point?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I don't see myself ever getting into any ETH project other than buying and holding which I would always choose HIVE when it comes to that.

Gas fees are too high and I don't think they are seeing this as a problem, more reason why BNB is more preferable for any new or small investor.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Ethereum is going to kill itself with those fees.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Oh the pains I get from gas, I call them gas pains, they are a killer. LOL
Sorry it was to good a chance to pass up...

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It's so obvious, yet it had never occurred to me until now. That's how painful ETH Gas Fees are!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's something to look out for. I hodl a little of it and I find it hard to let go, lol!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I don't hold any ETH because of gas fees. I entered late and it just doesn't seem worth it. I know there is money to be made but having to pay that much is just too risky.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I am… and just holding on to it. 😎
ETH has a different gathering of people that hold them, than most little other ones.
It is one of the few that will remain.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I hold ETH because everyone says you should hold ETH. I think of it as dead money, not doing to much right now. To expensive to transact with and to expensive to move around. Its in the BSC bank with VAi borrowed against it to invest in defi.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

With the gas pains associated with Ethereum, I don't understand why people would want to play games there. At least NFT transactions are limited.
