We really need to radically improve the onboarding process

And I’m not talking about the signup process. That is something that I believe INLEO has already radically improved with LeoInfra

I’m talking about what happens after you sign up

You should be met with steps on what to do next. Your first rewards earned should gamified and shown to you immediately to signal some early instant gratification

In a society of instant gratification, we must feed the early joy of getting started. Even if it’s slightly artificial

Sort:

The focus should be how to sustain the initial euphoria even when there are periods of intermittent fatigue.

I like how you're thinking

The signup is imo already covered like you say. Afterwards people maybe write a welcome post, get upvoted and afterwards never receive much upvotes. I do think though threads could be a good way for new people to grab some reward!

After the signup we could have like those guided tours which highlights the publish button and "force" people to introduce themselves, a bot could then catch those posts and give a small upvote. We could/should check that it's done via inleo app and the account is kinda verified to prevent abuse. #freecompliments

We could also send some LEO whenever they upload there profile picture and update the about me part of the profile. 🙌 just brainstorming..

Could we create a tag that new users would be asked to use strictly for some period (Say 7 - 20 days) after their first thread or post? One huge problem I notice is after the initial support (engagement/vote), their next contents are simply lost in the sea contents on Hive. And with zero audience, support of all forms - especially engagement is all but gone.

I have worked with a few newbies and up to 50% complained that nobody sees them, zero visibility leading to poor or no engagement.

So maybe we could create a system that lets newbies remain visible for some sustained period after onboarding. If its a tag, or a page or whatsoever method. Then it would be easy to have a place exclusively for newbie content in first 7 days for example. I would like to stay ENGAGED with their content. Other lions could be encouraged to do same, and these newbies would see that this place cares about them.

Engagement + Visibility are my watchwords here.
