We've got several ideas circulating about how to make long-form content on the new UI more search engine friendly. On top of that, encouraging the community to continuously create evergreen, high-quality SEO content is vital

The main idea I picked up from comparing the data is surrounding google. It seems the new UI hasn't ranked as well as the old UI for long-form content on search engines

I think we have a lot of good work to do on this front

Do we have hypothesis of why that is the case?

Of course, also interesting to note is that our daily visitors are 2x what they were before and our page views are 5x higher

This is showcasing the power of Threads and its ability to generate more page views = more ad revenue

Google can become one of our top sources of traffic once again. I think we can achieve really amazing things on this front with the right tools in place both on the backend of the UI and on the community-side of the spectrum

There are two big things that need to be fixed with long form.

1. The support of HTML again for h1 tags etc including those are the core things google looks for
2. The redirecting of all old links to now the new link format most likely hurt

1. The meta data got destroyed for a good while and seems to be hit or miss when posting to other platforms.
