when you upload an image, two things happen
- It gets compressed
- It has a total file size limit
We raised the limit and enhanced our compression techniques (so that quality is not lost)
So this allows higher MB photos with better compression. End result = higher quality photos are capable of being shown as high quality
Think of it as being similar to a 4k TV. If a video is shot in 8k and uploaded, the best you can see on your TV is still 4k
In this scenario, the image hoster is the TV and you all are the videographers uploading potential content
