RE: ProjectBlank Will Improve Leofinance.io

in LeoFinance • 4 years ago

"While this might seem like a bad thing at first glance, this actually will elevate the quality of Leofinance. That is not to say that the short form posts aren't quality, they just are not a great mixture with long form content. Separating the content will help both applications since they target different types of readers/users/"

This 💯

Exclusivity is a great way to cultivate the high quality crypto & finance content that we all want to see on LeoFinance.

When people go to Instagram, they expect pictures/videos and not very much text. When people go to Facebook, they expect longer form written content and videos.

When you go to https://leofinance.io, you should expect to read/watch longer form content that is curated for quality and relevance in the crypto and finance industries. Web3 Seeking Alpha.

When you go to ProjectBlank, you should expect to see a melting pot of ideas and perspectives culminated in a short-form style of communication. Tokenized Twitter on the blockchain.

The cross-over here is massive as we can use ProjectBlank to drive new users into this ecosystem from outside of Hive and even the crypto space. Selling people on this platform will be far easier than any other application on Hive because the purpose (and UI) is very straightforward: Twitter with Web3 properties (immutability, decentralized data storage, tokenized rewards ... - depending on who your audience is at the time).

From there, we cultivate our new users and teach them about ProjectBlank and how it works to their advantage. Over time, we filter these users for the ones who also like longer form content relevant to crypto and finance.

"oh, I can sign in with the same account and post/read high quality crypto content on LeoFinance's other application?"

The mission of LeoFinance has always been to bring in new users from outside of the current ecosystem. We've already managed to create a steady stream of growing sign ups via LeoInfra (which is growing by a factor of 2x + per month since we started it), but there is a potential for so much more.

I agree with the entire idea of your article. ProjectBlank will elevate LeoFinance.io to the next level. Continuous stream of new users who are later filtered into the more "hardcore" application for high quality crypto/finance content.

Exciting times. The more I play with ProjectBlank in the dev environment, the more excited I get 🚀

Hi.
We have been trying to contact you for months in Slack and Discord but we have never received any reply.

Lots of good things happening. I dont know if you are aware but people are excited for Projectblank.

They hide it well.

I am quite excited about the development of ProjectBlank. The only thing that bothers me is whether the short posts, that's if they'd appear on the Hive front end, will not be downvoted as spams. How will @hivewatchers, for instance, respond to an account that "tweets" ten times a day and earn a reward of up to $10 per post? I will really love you to share your thoughts on this.

If it will post an effortless copy of Tweets or copypasta of content from around the internet, these posts are very likely going to end up on our blacklist. And they are very likely to be downvoted to zero by the community.

"Right now Hive is in a state where we're moving away from the remnant of the damage Steemit Inc contributed to on Steem. We're taking a versatile blockchain and ensuring it's not a toxic dump for scammers. This will support investment and result in profits for users and dapps.
This is why we're all placing so much emphasis on:

  1. original content (there are also massive liability issues relating to monetizing stolen or found 'free to use' content)
  2. keeping it clear of botnets and other types of malicious parties/hackers.
Unfortunately, this means that every project needs to take measures to prevent exploitation."

Please try to avoid ending up with Project Blank as dbuzz did. DBuzz is now improving its app so the ecosystem is not spammed with low quality, junk posting. They will introduce a mandatory text field with minimum character input (which has to be original content, not copypasta/plagiarism). Taking an example from Actifit. As they explained in a recent dev update:

Thanks for the clarification regarding your stand/policy regarding this, very much appreciated.
