In this week's AMA, we talk about Elon Musk's acquisition of Twitter / major changes that he has proposed and if it will affect our plans for Project Blank.
It's a very different game to convert a WEB 2 platform into a WEB 3 platform compared to building a WEB 3 platform from scratch. This being said, I don't think Elon actually wants to build Web3. He's stated goals to make it more like WeChat in China.
Elon has a board to deal with, shareholders to deal with, the existing infrastructure behind Twitter, the social political landscape to battle against.
As powerful as Elon Musk is, it's not likely that we'll see Twitter transform into a full-scale WEB 3 platform which creates a great path for Project Blank. It's great for the world that Twitter will become a more free speech oriented environment, but it has no impact on WEB 3 - which is a complete revamp of social media - and the adoption of things like Project Blank.

Musk’s Twitter romance definitely got nothing on Projectblank’s prospects. It is the real idea of the Web 3.0 dream .

It's OK with me if he enriches himself as long as users of the platform get tangible benefits out of the under-new-management platform after it's "Grand Re-Opening"; if the users there find ways to enrich themselves as well, then it's win-win for everyone involved.
judging how badly he treats his employees I doubt it works that way
I see him as having generally good intents. We live in a world where enriching yourself is often a great way to actually have an impact and make the world better. The real key is how you use those riches in the real world

That’s the thing about big ships: no matter how good the captain is, it takes a lot of time and effort to make a full 180 degree turn.
Small ships are far more agile and controllable. Twitter is a massive ship.

Are you guys planning to take some code from Twitter if Elon OS it?
I assume some functions and algorithms, especially in regard to search engines might help ur project tremendously.
Btw I'm relatively new to the platform so my question is, how will the 'project blank' differ from #Leofinance?

I have had this idea in my head for long time now. I also heard a similar conversation on a twitter space. it seems we’ are all agreeing to the fact that it’s way easier to build a brand new web3 project than to convert an existing web2 to web3 .
With that said, if he(Elon) finally acquires the platform, let’s all not get disappointed that he won’t embed crypto projects in it. After all, Elon is still a fan of Bitcoin, Doge and crypto in general.
This is true. It may not be purely web3 , but it sure as hell could bring a lot of crypto integration along with it!

I wouldn't expect a major change in Twitter in the short term really, either in the mid-term. But we'll see.
And I don't know much about Project Blank to be honest, but I'm very curious.

Pity, that the airdrop will be only for LEO holders. I can see your point of trying to create more demand for LEO, but if one thinks big, the project could help the whole Hive universe, so the more broad it starts, the better.
