Hey, everyone! Part of Hive’s decentralization relies on its witnesses. For the system to work as intended, everyone with a stake should get involved and vote for active witnesses who are contributing to the blockchain.

It’s easy to forget to check if the witnesses you’ve voted for are still active. Doing this a few times a year is a good practice. Getting involved supports the decentralization of the platform.
There’s not much rotation among the top witnesses. With the way governance works on Hive, it’s hard for someone to lose their position at the top once they’re there. That’s why it’s crucial to remove support from inactive witnesses and back those who are currently contributing.

To check if someone is voting for an invalid Witness you can check out the Tool from @primersion under: https://primersion.com/witnesses by enter a Username in the Searchbox. Every single HIVE-User / InLeo User have 30 Witness Votes to cast and everyone should participate in the Hive Witness Voting and use all the 30 available Votes. Being a witness myself I'm always keeping tabs on other witnesses and the witness list in general, If I see someone is missing blocks I'll give them a nudge if able to in case they missed it. Same with price feeds.
In fact just today I shuffled some votes about.
Personally I've been in it for 3+ years at this point, slowly grinding my way up.
I run everything from home away from datacenters so keeping to that true decentralized nature.
I'm a hive witness supporting the blockchain please consider voting for me.
I use all my votes and review them periodically. There are a few inactive witnesses who rank quite highly. People can use a proxy if they trust them.
