Single-staking assets for yield farming is not a new concept. What is a new concept is single-sided staking assets that are actually productive.

Thorchain is implenenting a synthetic RUNE protocol-owned liquidity mechanic. This will allow native BTC holders, for example, to deposit BTC by itself into a Thorchain pool and only be exposed to BTC upside and downside (no Impermanent Loss).

It's an innovative and bleeding edge feature. DeFi has never seen anything like it and it's being implemented on Thorchain in 2022!
