absolutely correct. There are dishes that cannot be eaten with cutleries. They are best eaten with the hand. The likes of garri and soup and ekpang(you may not know this).

Which dishes don't you eat with cutleries?

#crossculture.

Ekpang😄.

All the food from that part of the country sound thesame. I wonder how strangers are coping with them. Lol

You said it well, these foods are meant for bare hands

Ohh.. I think I know the one that came to your mind first😄.

Strangers cope because the dishes are actually nice. You should try them out sometime yunno🙃

Lol😄

You're gonna prepare for me when we see.

I mean prepare by yourself and not pretentiously buying from restaurant 🧐

😂. Why would I pretentiously buy from restaurant. You have watched too many Nigerian movies 🤕😂

Lol you are totally correct, your hand is the best cutlery and if you go against that you would be offending the gods😂😂

Good morning Kingsley

Yes ooo! But I sense you're among the slay queens that use knife and fork to eat Eba. God abeg

Hahahah I can't believe how unanimous this is among Naija friends hahaha, it seems like 100% in agreement. We need some more Chinese friends here, they will use a plastic glove :-P

Hahahah!😂

I've seen Chinese videos and it baffles me how clean descent they look while eating, especially with those sticks (don't know the name)😄

Chopsticks hahaha I guess it's still rare over there. I had Korean friends in school so they taught me how to use them at a young age. Now I use them almost every day. Lol China is weird about food, in local restaurants people spit bones on the table and leave scraps everywhere. But when it comes to eating any foreign food that uses the hands, they look like doctors with plastic gloves on, even for a sandwhich

Isn't that meat pie ? That girl looks to be enjoying herself

Maybe Burger. I don't know oo, I just downloaded from a site

Hahaha. You tried, I no even know how burger look like

the joy of licking your fingers after a meal is so cool... Culture did a good thing for us

#crossculture

Aswear. This is another thing that makes eating so sweeeeeet

Haha, tell me about it. It is crazy seeing people eating swallow with spoon especially that fork on can make me nod someone.

Are you sure you're not among them?

All these Lagos babes😄

Me?? Lol, I am not a lagosian ooo

Hmmn. Don’t tell me to eat my Eba, Amala, or Pounded yam with spoon. 😂. Are you kidding me? What’s is fork and knife doing in my tray? 😂. I better get a washing hand basis and battle till the end 😂

You see the wahala!😄

I've been to an even where fork and knife were served for me to eat Eba. Who does that? I washed my hand and did justice to the food with my hand

We have SWALLOW; Eba, fufu, starch, semo etc

All these are meant to be eaten with bare hands. Civilization is trying so hard to steal our culture and it seems it's succeeding.

lols I can't agree more with you on this, it's just one of the uniqueness of our culture and traditions.
Imagine eating swallow with Spoon of fork, that'll totally look awkward.

Hahahaha.

Gen z people are boldly doing this fork and spoon on EBA. I can't just think of it

imagine, I've a friend who'll tell you such food can't be sweet when you don't eat them with your hand.

Eating with your hands is delicious. I even do it in other people's homes. I say to the host: "Excuse me, but how can I eat this with my hands. So, with your permission". And the party begins. I hope there's plenty of water to wash them

awayhahahah😄. I love this

They should bring enough water to wash hand to the party instead of fork, spoons and knives

No matter how fancy it may look like, YAM, POTATO and plantain are not to be eaten with spoon or fork.

Come and beat me, I'm in Delta State

Oh yeah! Who eats soup and eba with spoons? How will I get my fill that way? 😂 It's always faster and much enjoyable with my hands.

Haaaaa!
See this ajebo giving me the real local vibe. I'm happy for you Merit😄

Lol yes o, who nor like better thing na 😂
