June 12 is democracy in Nigeria, but recently there has not been any democracy in Nigeria. So Nigerians decided to use the opportunity to use June 12 to protest once again. Jack Dorsey continue to show his support towards Nigeria and how proud he is towards Nigerians use of bitcoin.
Ever since the EndSars Protest, Jack Dorsey, CEO of Twitter and Square comapany, has been supporting Nigerian youths against the bad governance towards them. During the protest, the Nigerian Government blocked the accounts being used to fund protesters. The money in the accounts were used for their transportation, first aid and feeding during the protest. Jack Dorsey tweeted and placed a bitcoin address that will be used for donation towards helping Nigerian youths protest freely.
I guess this gesture made Nigerian Government ban crypto in the country because they don’t like something they can’t control.
So Nigerians decided to use P2P to keep trading Crypto. Regardless the limit placed on Nigerian youth, they kept on going stronger and stronger to survive. This has brought the attention of a lot of people all around the world. Especially Jack Dorsey and Ray the CEO of Paxful.
Nigerians are angry so they spent their Democracy protesting against the government’s un democratic ruling.
