Winning the Earthquake ruleset without using Bright Bloom - Splinterlands

Hi guys. Krazorcen here again, sharing my battles on how I win in the EARTHQUAKE ruleset without using BRIGHT BLOOM.

BRIGHT BLOOM is an excellent summoner. If you have her, you should use her. The strategies that I will be sharing with you worked for me in the bronze and silver league-ranked matches and they might work for you!

RULESET

SNAREWhen attacking enemies with Flying, removes the Flying ability and cannot miss

STRATEGY ON WINNING IN THIS RULESET

Since we will not be using BRIGHT BLOOM, the most important ability in this ruleset is Flying, if possible always use a monster with this ability. If you don't have any monsters with Flying ability, you can replace them with Protect that will give your monsters +2 armor, and Heal. These 2 abilities will at least negate some damage that Earthquake gives. Placing these monsters in a safe position will be a good strategy as well. Monsters with armor and high HP are also good if you don't have access to the 3 abilities that were mentioned.

Using high damage monsters is also good in this ruleset, instead of trying to outlive your opponent. You can just end the game as soon as possible, one of the best solutions is using Snare because IT WILL NEVER MISS its attacks on the Flying monsters and will disable their ability to fly, or get high damage output monsters.

My best lineup for this ruleset is LIFE. I own a lot of Flying monsters that made me win a lot of games. However, there will be a lot of monsters that have Flying, you don't need to limit yourself in the life splinters.

These are the most used monsters that I have.

For low mana cap games I usually use this lineup.
I just add/remove some of them. It depends on the specific mana cap on the game.

For mana high-cost games. It will depend on the rulesets, mana, and the opponent's match history.
But this is the lineup I usually use for high mana cap games. You can just switch things up if the mana is adequate.

BATTLES

BATTLE #1 - VS HIGH DAMAGE MONSTERS

This is a high 44 mana cap ruleset, along with Holy Protection. Using Lorna Shine is not the best option. That's why I went for General Sloan for his ability +1 additional range damage. I chose monsters that have Flying ability which will give me an advantage and also picked EVANGELIST for his ability Snare, in case he went for Flying monsters as well.

The enemy went for the same range damage monsters, along with GENERAL SLOAN. However, the difference is he doesn't have any monsters that have Flying, which made him vulnerable in the Earthquake and made me win the game.

BATTLE #2 - VS BRIGHT BLOOM

In the second battle, I am against Bright Bloom who is the best summoner in this ruleset. The opponent can choose any monster that he wants, any combo without worrying about the Earthquake damage. However, all of my monsters also have the Flying ability, which made us nullify damage from the Earthquake. The difference is he went for a high HP with Healing ability monster and I went for a high damage lineup, his main tank could not handle the damage and I won the game.

CONCLUSION

In this specific ruleset, having a monster with a Flying ability is a must. With this ability, Earthquake will be your ally that will help you win. However, without it, Earthquake will slowly kill your monsters.
Flying ability is not everything in this ruleset and you can win without it. You just need to counter the enemy's lineup and choose the correct monster and place them in the right position.

nice, however i can see that Lorna, even if it's one of the most rated summoners, still needs a lot of BCX to increase the level

Yep. Lorna is not cheap. She is, however, now less expensive. She was $20 a piece when I acquired her, and she is now $14. That's why she's only at level 2; I can't afford to upgrade her much further. We can, however, always rent her.
