The performance of the world's second largest crypto currency surpassed Bitcoin. Ethereum has gained around 75 percent this year. The rise in Bitcoin was limited to 20 percent.
Ethereum, the world's second most valuable crypto currency, rose 75 percent this year, outpacing its biggest rival Bitcoin's performance.
Ethereum blockchain is used in many decentralized finance applications. Applications called "DeFi" prepare financial functions on digital records called blockchains. Thus, users can borrow and borrow money and get interest income without the need for a traditional intermediary such as banks.
The next step in the bull market could be the strong performance of less recognized altcoins compared to Bitcoin. Looking at its performance this year, Ether rose 75 percent against Bitcoin's 20 percent rise.
Since the beginning of 2020, Bitcoin has increased 500 percent, while the Ethereum price increase has been 1,000 percent.
However, Ethereum's good performance compared to Bitcoin was not enough to break the rate range between the two cryptocurrencies since the end of 2018.
