How is it different from leo threads?

Lens Protocol is a Polygon-based on-chain social ecosystem similar to Hive. It has about a dozen DApps for desktop and mobile that one could use to post content on and monetize it. And each post is an NFT on the Polygon blockchain.

I know about the project. I am asking about the experience and number of users interacting there. What about the fees?

My initial experience interacting with other users was fun and easy, but gaining new followers is not. The apps are easy to use, and I don't pay any fees at all. Maybe that will change in the future, once they open the gates to everyone.

I have not checked for a while. I was still on a waiting list. I will see once I am in :) whenever that is.

Monetizing your posts is not easy, unlike here where an upvote has some monetary worth. There, you need to set your post to be "collectable", and set the price for it. A post can be a 1/1 or an edition of many.

oh kay. It is not that straightforward. I will know once I use the dapps

Or...

...and here me out here...

...you could get Lens people to sign up for Hive accounts...

...THEN we could pay you in upvotes.

That's one of the things I am there for. All those on-chain social platforms that have sprouted up in the last two years, they all take a page from us and what's been done here. I want to let them know where some things came from.

But I'm still new and have no influence yet. And the main reason I'm there is to mint my art as NFTs on their Collectz NFT marketplace. I'm not there to blog, unless it's about something that only pertains to them.
