It was until it wasn’t. I have just a few weeks left and my new job search will definitely include remote or hybrid in my searches, but money talks. If I have to go back to commuting I’ve done that since I was a kid.

totally understand that! you gotta go where it's best for your family. doing remote work has changed my perspective on a lot of shit though.
