This all sounds so simple and surface-level, I know. I really wanted to dive into this mission though because it's extremely important for what is being built here. You can build the fastest tools, the most robust financial tech, and the most sustainable model possible but if no one uses it, what is the point? If it's too complicated for your grandma to use, there's room for improvement, at least in my opinion.

Signing in and swapping assets in seconds with FaceID as the approval method. This is the level of simplicity we need if we really want mass adoption of anything. As a semi-permissioned chain, stakers of the native KUJI asset are able to vote on governance proposals such as dApp launches and changes to existing dApps. The governance system is very distinct because even the most-critical issues are run through a vote. You could argue that a lot of other chains with governance don't really let the holders decide on very important things, just minor issues. I really like that Kujira give that power to the stakers.
KUJI & USK
Kujira has 2 tokens, similar to how Hive has HIVE & HBD. Kujira has KUJI & USK. KUJI is the native gas token for the chain and is capped at 117 million. KUJI is needed for every transaction on the Kujira chain, and can also be staked for governance. KUJI can also be delegated to validators to earn a small share of their validator rewards. KUJI is the primary token for Kujira, and is necessary for everything on the network.
USK is Kujira's over-collateralized stable(ish) coin. Users can mint USK on Kujira using a number of different assets such as ATOM, DOT, LINK, & a ton of other assets. This can be done on Kujira BLUE, which holds all collateral in smart contracts as collateralized debt positions. USK is over-collateralized at 166% in various assets that users deposit, and can be redeemed (burned) at any time to redeem the collateral. I really like this mechanic, and I think it's incredibly valuable because it allows users to get stable-coin loans on their assets in a permissionless way.
USK collateral is governed by KUJI stakers as well. This includes mint size caps as well as which assets are used to back USK as collateral. I won't go too much farther into detail as it gets a little complex, but I enocurage you to take a look at the docs I linked above for more details about USK.
Kujira Ecosystem
One of my favorite things about Kujira is their suite of products. Right off the bat, they offer a full suite of DeFi products first-party. This means their products are built by them, not a third party. This means all of the core dApps are very familiar in the way they look and feel. This also means that it's extremely easy to get support for each particular product because they're built by the Kujira team. The core product suite is incredibly powerful on its own, and it will only get better from here. Wanna keep it simple? Use BLUE to manage your assets and governance. Wanna get weird? Use GHOST or FIN to trade and use leverage. There's a dApp for every type of user.
Another huge advantage to using Kujira is that it's integrated into Maya Protocol. This makes it super easy to move in and out of KUJI & USK without the need for a centralized exchange.
