Hive Backed Dollars versus Bitcoin as a value transfer system

Sort:

$BTC isnt a good medium of exchange.

It starts with the fact it is expense to move. At the same time, it is also volatille.

I agree. someone tell Jack Maller to use HBD. I can only imagine how great it would be it Strike started using HBD to transfer value.
But where can you swap dollars to HBD, Binance?

HBD isnt on many exchanges and it will not likely be. Since it is an algo stablecoin, my bet is regulation prohibits it.

We are building DEX and pools to open it up. VSC is doing some things so is LeoDex.

I have heard there is a stablecoin bill being considered by the US Congress.
Do you think it will prohib algorhythmic stablecoins?

I havent looked into the bill that is being proposed by Congress but I wouldnt be surprised if there wasnt a clause that algo stablecoins have to be asset backed (and likely by US Treasuries)

So using it in a money transfer system will involve several steps, but for an enterprising person who makes it simple on the User Interface it could be a viable business.

There are a few rails being built which will make HBD and $HIVE more accessible.

In a few months, things will be completely different.
