I was made for loving you

That's what Gene Simmons, the legendary rock singer of KISS, seems to have said to Bitcoin, and a nice number of other cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum, Cardano, BNB, ChainLink and Pokadot, Uni and Litecoin. And every time I read something like that I actually find it more comical than that it really makes me happy. Because seriously, although I understand very well that 'we' are happy when it becomes known that celebrities also own cryptocurrency. It doesn't really matter… They're just people just like you and me, right? So yes, if they can think, then they are smart enough to invest part of their wealth in cryptocurrency. With that, they will definitely make more profit than if they left it in USD.

Reading this “important news” actually made me laugh. Because it seems that the crypto community is always looking for a 'figurehead'. Someone who can be followed. We have of course already seen this go very far with Elon Musk, and it should have become clear that this can work both ways.

So let's wait and see what Gene Simmons can do for the crypto community, and what he will do. For now, he is “all in on Bitcoin, and made a very bullish prediction in his eyes, where if I see other people here writing about prices, Gene Simmons' prediction could well be seen as very bearish, or is it realistic? Whatever it may be, he expects Bitcoin to be worth well over 60K USD by early next year…

Oh, and one reason he loves cryptocurrency so much is because when you use crypto you leave a digital fingerprint. And that is a lot easier to tax than, for example, gold.

A little odd perhaps, and it makes me rethink whether I should start looking at gold after all. Anyway, since my crypto assets are really not that big yet, I really have to work a little harder to get to that point. There will probably be new developments by then.

And while I'm still thinking about this 'celebrities and crypto phenomenon', wondering what they've done for crypto, and what they can do… I might as well get on with today's contest. After all, it's Tuesday again! And last week we looked at the price of Decentraland Mana (MANA).

Of course Coinmarketcap helps me a lot… because that's where I can pick my chart from and check the price. Well… it shows me that;

1 MANA was worth $0.8306 USD last Friday, August 13th at noon Central European Time

No two winners this week, but 1 winner again. Who can call himself the lucky winner of 5 LBI this week. And that was @daviddavidjens this week who came closest to the actual price of 1 MANA with his prediction.
