RE: FOMO and the Beast || Don't Get Financially Trapped by Emotions

Emotions are powerful. How you harness them and direct them however, is everything. Psychopathy is a 1 in 100 condition among humans. its a fascinating condition that includes among other things enlarged and shrunken parts of the brain (google it or take a psychology course, fascinating stuff). Now with that, comes a lack of ability to interpret or express emotion. That is why it is often touted that psychopaths' make great CEO's (lots of them are) and also great criminals. They feel minimal to no emotion, which hinders most of us at some point or another. Being able to analyze data objectively, without emotional interference, leads to great success. For the vast majority of us that aren't psychopaths', I think AI and robot interpreters can have great value. Like psychopaths, they share the trait of objective data analysis. Something most of us can only hope to do (even just some of the time.)

That's a great, if not unfortunate, example that I also often use. Those in power tend to lean towards the plus side of the psychopath spectrum. Politicians are an example, and CEOs as you said. They don't have the need to control emotion, because of their lack of it.

Robots and AI can play a role in this, but we need to be careful with certain logical conclusions they may take. South Park had a great episode that gave an example of this in a comedic way. They created a robot that had the purpose of being the funniest comedian in the world. The robot concluded that if it killed everyone in the world, it would be the funniest by default.
