Not sure if it's an intentional "attack", but it's certainly made the network less usable.
You've got to pay a $20 fee to move $90 worth of BTC onto the lightning network.
And the average monthly salary in El Salvador is like $500.
Intentional attack, I didn't make it clear that that was it! The very Hype of tokens and NFTs in user BRC-20 created this super demand for blocks on the Bitcoin network. I hope this is resolved soon, because the protection of the network is the high fees, which makes the network unusable!

One of the weekly Quest tasks asked that we make a long form post using the Leofinance frontend. How can I do that since the blogging page of Leofinance isn't working at the moment? Is there a way to go around it?
It's working alright for me. But if it isn't at your end, you can draft your first post elsewhere and then copy-paste it into the Leo UI and publish it when it gets available.
It's not the drafting that's the problem, I can't upload images or add tags to post.

I see. You can upload images using another frontend and copy them on your draft. As to adding tags, not sure why. It works okay at my end.
I don't know why tags isn't working for me. After typing the tags the system doesn't take index it.
Sorry to hear. Hope it gets fixed sooner. Are you using mobile phone browser? Maybe you can just publish without the tags. After your post is on the blockchain, go to peakd and edit your post to add the tags that you want :)

Well, here in colombia is like $250, so the fee is a little less than 10% of the salary
Unfortunately there's nothing that can be done about the ridiculous cost of moving BTC on and off Lightning because that is always a full chain transaction.
But if you stick with Lightning its cheap.
And another warning: do not try to use Muun Wallet. Ignore it till fees drop. It's unusable or will charge you an insane fee on a lightning transaction.
