well IPFS is alright I think ecency uses that too Imgur is centralized pretty sure so that's not ideal, the only thing that I think can be an issue is added congestion if people store images on hive
I think congestion is the reason for not storing images (and video) on the blockchain itself. Aside from space, there is the coding/decoding of the images. Even if people knew to use your technique, they may not have the patience.

Yes I agree. The problem is we do not see it happening. So, for now, I am focusing upon getting threads as active as possible. There is a lot we can do with clicks and thread counts, get them up, then promote them.

Widgets in that row are small enough not to be a problem; @ worst, they could use a smaller font size. Sometimes an upvote is all that's needed for a thread reply, so needing 2make an extra click is extra work (especially for 100+ threads).
When I went to view your full reply from the Notifications page, I received the dreaded #NIY (not indexed yet) error. To upvote your reply, I had to do it at Layer 1 using Ecency.
How many of you use 3Speak? Do you actually watch the videos on there or just post?
I post, i don’t use it for content discovery, most of the videos do not appeal to me (and I struggle to understand who do they appeal to). It’s not a 3speak issue, it’s a content creators issue.
